Is Sea Galley Closing? We Asked and They Answered
If you're in any of those Yakima Facebook groups that talk about things going on around town, no doubt you've heard rumors swirling over the east end of Valley Mall Boulevard that Sea Galley is closing.
Some mention it as just a rumor, something they heard or overheard. There are others who are mentioning it like it's fact and definitely going to happen.
Are they are aren't they?
Well, I decided to find out first-hand on if there's any truth to the rumor.
Sea Galley has always been good to Yakima. In fact, to the best of my knowledge, what was once a chain of restaurants the Sea Galley in Union Gap is the last remaining Sea Galley. Great food, awesome drinks and what many in the area claim the best prime rib in town. They also have, as they claim and we proved, 'The Best Mozzarella Sticks in Town'.
There's no way they're closing. Right?
Right?!
We reached out to get an affirmative answer one way or another.
What did Sea Galley Say?
Nope!
Not closing.
We reached out and Steve Hart from Sea Galley confirmed they are not closing.
There's no idea on who started that rumor or how it was spread in the first place. Or even where the idea came from.
Sea Galley is a happening place and still beloved by many. Great place, great location.
There's nothing stopping other businesses from building out that area. If they're looking for an existing business move out, they'll have to keep moving.
Sea Galley is not closing.
