We cover our fair share of product recalls, though so many recalls are from food.

This time, though, it's from shampoo that, when used, it could do more harm than good.

USA Today is reporting that a specific shampoo, that has been shipped to mostly New York and California but also may be in other states as well, is being recalled due to the idea that it's causing skin infections.

What shampoo is being recalled?

The name of it is one I'm not familiar with, but I'm also the same type of guy who just uses whatever shampoo is within my reach.

This is called Tec Italy and is manufactured in Mexico.

Henkel Capital S.A. de C.V. (“Henkel”) of Mexico is voluntarily recalling 1,068 units of its Tec Italy Shampoo Totale, as the product has the potential to be contaminated with Klebsiella oxytoca. Exposure to these bacteria can cause infections in humans, including infection in the eyes, nose and skin, with additional reactions for consumers with immune-compromised conditions.
-FDA

Look for the Tec Italy green plastic bottle, 1 liter bottle.

Lot - 1G27542266
UPC - 7501438375850

This is due to the bacteria that could cause skin infections.

Fortunately they found this in testing the product but not on humans. So far, nobody has claimed any damage done but don't take any chances. If you happen to have this at home, toss it or contact sacli@henkel.com on what to do next.
