Skippers Seafood & Chowder Reopens in Eastern Washington
Skippers was a restaurant I enjoyed quite a bit when I was growing up. I thought they had the best fish n' chips, I loved their shrimp basket, they had my favorite clam chowder, and the red Jell-o that came with a kids meal was the best idea of all time.
Over the years as more and more locations have closed, you may still find Skippers-branded items in select gas stations around the Pacific Northwest.

It would be like if that Cooper's Chicken company was a dine-in restaurant and now you can pretty much only get it at the gas station. Still amazing food, but not exactly the same.
And maybe it was at one I'm, I'm not sure.
As it was, they only had a couple of locations left for Skippers in the Northwest with locations in Silverdale, Washington as well as Puyallup.
All other locations were more the 'grab n' go' idea at gas stations.
Skippers website lists Yakima Avenue Quick Stop as one such location with another at Cowiche Harvest Foods.
Well, if you long for sitting down at Skippers and enjoying some great food, we finally have one again in Eastern Washington.
Tri-City Herald reports that one of the last Skipper's in Washington located in Kennewick is now open once again to the public.
This one was open for several years but recently had to close due to a grease fire.
Fortunately with a fresh coat of paint, new kitchen with new tools, the Skippers on Kennewick Ave in Kennewick is open and ready to serve. I'm looking forward to stopping by there as soon as I can.
