Around this time of year, when the summer days aren't nearly as warm as they are, you start to get a hint of that autumn air when you walk outside, you start to feel need need for pumpkin spice -- you know Halloween is just around the corner and with Halloween comes the tradition of pop-up Spirit Halloween stores.

I think these stores are a lot of fun. They're filled with new costumes following the trends of the year, classic costumes, tools to piece together your perfect costume, and so much more. They also have great Halloween home decor.

One of the big draws to Spirit Halloween are the animatronics you can purchase to use in your home or front lawn to make any dwelling extra spooky. They have them set up at Spirit Halloween to test out and see what they're like.

Though Yakima isn't slated to have a Spirit Halloween just yet, as we're all hoping one will go in the old Sears or some other location before too long, and soon as one does pop up we'll let you know, I was in Spokane over the weekend and stopped in a store that was open. I took a bunch of photos so I could share them with you.

They still weren't completely set up with many items still on the way, but here's a quick look.

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
