Sweet Sister’s Ice Cream Shop Brought Back All the Memories
Growing up, ice cream was my favorite thing in the world. Any treat, any celebration, any down time, and even when it came time for me dating and taking someone out, I was always all about the ice cream. Yakima has never had a lack of great places for ice cream. One of Yakima's newest locations is conveniently on Yakima Avenue just off of 2nd. Sweet Sister's Ice Cream Shop has just about anything you need and then some.
We happen to be downtown as it was so figured we may as well check it out. I remember when this place first opened but just haven't had the opportunity to check it out, yet. Now that I have, I kick myself for not checking it out sooner.
This place as a nice variety of flavors from classics like Rocky Road to regional ones like a huckleberry one that you just have to try.
After my kids all chose theirs and in what cone, I grabbed mine. It was such a throwback to the times I'd just sit at the ice cream shop with friends and family enjoying some high-quality ice cream.
And their sundaes! I didn't order one this time but their sundaes are from another planet. I can't wait to return to order one of these for myself.
