This last weekend the wife & I packed up the Springdale, grabbed the kids & headed four hours east to a little town in Idaho called Troy. Check out some of the pics from the weekend.
I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend! We got to Sun Lake State Park on Friday evening and stayed through Monday. Golf, water sports, fishing, drinking, eating & fun around the campfire. There was very little cell service out there... which was great! But it mean't I didn't have my cell on me nor did I get many pics. But, here's seven pics that I did manage to get from my weekend.
Like many American's, on Memorial Day weekend I like to get out of town and go camping. My go-to spot that last few years has been Sun Lakes State Park near Ephrata. What's your favorite go-to camping spot or campground?
I haven't been camping since I was a little girl, so when my dear friend Kristina wanted to camp at the Watershed Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre last weekend, she had to do some persuading.
She basically promised hot coffee every morning, taking a generator so that I could do my hair, hot showers and yummy food...
I love to camp and I do it every chance I get. We have some amazing places to camp in the state of Washington. All the way to the beach to right here in our backyard. I love going over White Pass and camping at Cascade Peaks Resort.
Guns, knives, camping and fishing gear, clothing, boats -- and yes, even bears. (The kind that've been through the taxidermist, that is.)
You name it, they've got it at the Central Washington Sportsmen Show at the Yakima Valley SunDome. The annual fair, which draws vendors and visitors from all over the region, continues through Sunday...
The third annual Chinook Music Festival kicks off tonight at Jim Sprick Community Park in Naches.
The festival is getting high praise as one of the best small fests on the West Coast and is attracting artists that are getting national notoriety such as Sturgill Simpson, whose new album was recently profiled in Rolling Stone magazine and recently performed on David Letterman's show.
I guess I didn't realize how expensive camping can become. You've got to basically take a full kitchen on the road with you. Now there are plenty of inventions to to meet your needs, one of them being a camping toaster.
Now don't get me wrong, I love my toast in the morning...
When I first pulled up to Wildhorse Campground almost a year ago I had know idea what to expect. What I found was it would be one of the highlights of my summer.
