I love to camp and I do it every chance I get. We have some amazing places to camp in the state of Washington. All the way to the beach to right here in our backyard. I love going over White Pass and camping at Cascade Peaks Resort.

Guns, knives, camping and fishing gear, clothing, boats -- and yes, even bears. (The kind that've been through the taxidermist, that is.) The third annual Chinook Music Festival kicks off tonight at Jim Sprick Community Park in Naches. The festival is getting high praise as one of the best small fests on the West Coast and is attracting artists that are getting national notoriety such as Sturgill Simpson, whose new album was recently profiled in Rolling Stone magazine and recently performed on David Letterman's show.

I guess I didn't realize how expensive camping can become. You've got to basically take a full kitchen on the road with you. Now there are plenty of inventions to to meet your needs, one of them being a camping toaster. Now don't get me wrong, I love my toast in the morning...

When I first pulled up to Wildhorse Campground almost a year ago I had know idea what to expect. What I found was it would be one of the highlights of my summer.
