As Chairmen of the 4th of July Committee of Yakima our group wants to hear from you as we plan this years event! We are always trying to improve the Free Celebration the happens on the 4th of July at State Fair Park. There is always music, food, and of course fireworks, but what else would you like to see at the festival. Sound off in our poll below, you can even add your own answers!

The countdown to the 4th of July celebration at State Fair Park is on!  As most of you know, fireworks are illegal in the city of Yakima and Yakima County.  There are very few legal places to set off fireworks in our area.  Yes you can buy fireworks on the Yakama reservation but you can't set 'em off anywhere else...

Every year Zillah hosts their annual communtiy days  celebration and this year will be somthing extra special.  Come help Zillah celebrate 100 years (1911-2011.)  The festivites kick off Friday the 13th (Ooo Scary) with a talent show in Strewart Park followed by a fireworks display starting at 9 PM

After 20 years of growth and change, Yakima’s 4th of July Celebration is going back to basics.  The 2011 version of the community party marking the birthday of our nation will feature activities like tug-of-war, sack races, games, and other traditions.
