Popular department chain JCPenney has announced the closing of 138 stores across the United States. Some feared fear that Yakima would be on that list, but I'm happy to say we're saved!

A JCPenney's employee was sent home for violating the dress code with shorts she bought from her very own employer. Sylva Stoel, a 17-year-old from Sioux Falls, S.D., quit her job last week when she was told to go home and change. Sylva wore red shorts with a blue sleeveless button-down shirt which the store marketed as appropriate for work.

JCPenney hopes to scalp the competition while contributing to a society of cleaner cut children with the company recently announcing plans to offer another round of free haircuts for children.
