I (Barely) Got My Copy Of Action Comics #1000!

A bonafide TV Batman may have become the holy grail for DC fans, between the Arrow-verse tiptoeing around direct reference to the Dark Knight, or Gotham languishing in its inability to wait for Bruce Wayne’s future. Supergirl even made our first direct reference to Gotham City, and may now have hinted at Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman working with a troubled, technologically skilled vigilante.

You are seeing the hashtag everywhere today as the nation celebrates National Comic Book day. I'm a huge fan of comic books and there are good reasons to be a fan of these flashy four-colored magazines even if you don't like comics.

Following the Batman vs. Superman info dump that came out of Comic-Con, we thought it might be a while before we saw or heard anything from the upcoming superhero movie. After all, we did get an extended new trailer, new images and a new poster. But today, we have three new Batman vs. Superman pics each showing off one of the film’s three main characters: Batman, Superman and Lex Luthor.

Current Superman and Man of Steel star Henry Cavill was officially cast in the role in January of 2011. But, seven years earlier Cavill was also cast as Kal-El in a different Superman project. That film, which was written by J.J. Abrams and would've been directed by McG, was eventually canceled and Cavill never shot a frame of Superman. Until many years later when he was called back for a new Superman reboot and given the job. This is just one of the facts packed into the latest episode of You Think You Know Movies, which follows the last son of Krypton in Man of Steel!

CBS ‘Supergirl’ recently revealed a more procedural format that had many fans worried about the series, but the casting of Kara Zor-El should leave all positively ‘Glee’-ful. Melissa Benoist will don a cape and tights for the title role in CBS’ ‘Supergirl’ series, chronicling the adventures of Superman’s cousin.

We really don't know much about how Wonder Woman will fit into the plot of 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.' We do know that she's being played by Gal Gadot and that she will, somehow, get some screen time alongside Henry Cavill's Superman, Ben Affleck's Batman and Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. But that's about it ... until now! Thanks to a tiny snippet (caught on Vine, no less) we now know that DC's Amazon warrior will forego her classic origin story in favor of her modern beginning.

When Warner Bros. announced its Comic-Con 2014 film lineup, 'Batman vs. Superman' was not on the list, which seemed more than a bit odd at the time. Now we know it was all just a rouse to give the surprise panel more impact.

We got our look at one half of 'Batman vs. Superman' back in May when director Zack Snyder tweeted the first look at Ben Affleck as Batman. Today, we get our first look at the other half of that equation with our first official look at the new Superman.

As the Man Of Steel approaches his 75th birthday, Movie Makers Zack Snyder and Animation Master Bruce Timm have put together a wonderful nostalgic montage of Superman from his origins to his current movie and beyond.

The Man Of Steel movie opens this weekend and I'm rooting for its success. As a huge fan of Superman since I was 8 yrs old - here are my top 5 reasons for wanting The Man Of  Steel to be a box office success!
