This Apple Blossom May Be My New Favorite Yakima Summer Treat
Not too long ago we decided to find a frozen treat in town to ward off the summer heat and a stop at a familiar place featured an unfamiliar item. Apple Blossoms. Interesting. Why not, I'll grab one! I'm so glad I did.
Now, you can't quite tell from this photo as when we got to our destination the ice cream had already begun to pool into the container but underneath it all was an apple blossom. Basically, a mini-apple pie-type treat. Apples you may find in apple pie wrapped in a pastry then served ala mode with a ton of ice cream which you'll never hear me complain about.
Everything was perfect and a deal at about $5. I don't remember the exact price but it was well worth it.
This was at Ron's Tacos & Burgers on the corner of 16th and Lincoln. Home of the giant ice cream cones and those sundaes that are delivered in a 44oz soda cup. I love their fries, too! Admittedly, though the place says Burgers and Tacos in the name, I've never had either, just the ice cream and fries. These apple blossoms are my new favorite, though. If you love apple pie or apple-anything as much as I do, I think you'll enjoy it.
