This Korean Dish in Yakima is So Amazing You’ll Forget it’s Cauliflower
Well, it's Wednesday and you know what that means.
Thinking about what to grab for lunch I wanted to try a place that maybe I see often or even visit every-so-often but haven't been there in a while. My adventure brought me to this place on a popular corner of Yakima and I'm glad I did.
Though I felt a little under-dressed wearing a t-shirt and pair of shorts, Waterfire Grill was open and, on Wednesdays, they offer happy hour prices all day long. I'm cool with that!
It's been a while since I'd last been here so there were a few new things on the menu. What stood out to me was something called Korean Fried Cauliflower.
The menu listed these as a tempura-fried cauliflower pieces with a sweet chili sauce garnished with cashews, bacon, and scallions. Sure, why not. I love all those things. I'm so glad I ordered these!
If you told me this was chicken, I would have believed you.
The taste was spot-on and could have been anything but it was done so well that I literally forgot I was eating cauliflower.
These are available any day of the week but if you stop by on Wednesday you'll save a couple of bucks. Paired nicely with my beer from Varietal. I'll be ordering these again sooner than later.
