I know I'm new in town and still getting my footing, but I finally found some fun stuff to do on the weekends! Here are some fun things you can do to get out of the house, lord knows we all need it.

I'm usually a pretty big introvert unless I'm around the right crowd, or I have a few drinks in me. With these places, it's easy to cut loose, have fun and just be yourself whether you're an introvert or extrovert.

Orion Theaters

This place is next level not only is it a movie theater but a bar and restaurant altogether. Once you get to your seat you tap on the small circle button on your chair tray. The theater staff will come up and take your order. You have a full menu of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, specialty items, and of course customized cocktails created just for your movie viewing experience. Worth every penny and an experience that'll leave you wanting more.

Drink'n Games

An arcade bar in the heart of Yakima, where all you need is a cold drink, a pocket full of quarters, and determination to leave your mark on a new high score. They do special nights as well, like karaoke night, prom night, birthdays, and more. Kids are even welcome to join in on the fun from 5 pm to 8 pm.

Farmers Market

Hear me out, I grew up in Washington and I've been to plenty of farmers markets, Yakimas farmers markets are the real deal, fresh foods, fruits, drinks, and individual vendors with various items for you to check out. One of my favorite booths was the hand-blown glass from Bartheld glass where he makes custom pieces including solar panel globe that light up at night. You can find close to anything at the farmer's markets and I mean close to anything. Both Farmer's markets take place on Sundays. One in Union Gap in the Sears parking lot and the other in the heart of downtown Yakima.
