Lady Gaga’s Gone Country: Here’s The Top 5 Yakima Area Dive Bars That I Suggest For Her Tour
Lady Gaga announced she's going country and teaming up with Bud Light for a Dive Bar Tour and she's only visiting three cities. She has not announced all of the cities, however. All we know is that tonight, her "Monsters" will be watching her perform live in my hometown of Nashville, in the dive bar of her choosing. (I'm guessing it's going to be either Tootsies or the Bluebird Cafe.) Her show will be broadcasted LIVE TONIGHT (Wednesday, October 5th) on Bud Light's Facebook page at 7 PM (Yakima time).
This means there are only TWO other towns for Lady Gaga to announce for her dive bar tour. The suspense is killing me! (She will stop by a dive bar and perform in one city on October 20th and perform in the third and final dive bar on October 27th.)
Please say you're coming to the Yakima Valley, Lady Gaga! *crosses fingers*
Here are the top 5 dive bars I think she should consider if she adds the Yakima Valley to her tour:
It has the perfect name for a dive bar. James Gang Tavern (2101 S 3rd Ave, Union Gap, WA)is also a great spot to watch a football game, order a patty melt, kick back for "Taco Tuesday" or just enjoy some pitchers of their Bloody Mary's, according to their loyal patrons.
If you want the quintessential dive bar experience in the heart of downtown Yakima, then it's gotta be at Brews And Cues. With old movie theater seats set out in a row in front of the building and a dark decor that has a place for bands to play, it doesn't get any dive-ier than this!
Old Town Pump is the place you go when you just want to get away from the "hustle and bustle" of mid-city life. You can play pool, get some great food, and play some songs on the jukebox. This place is a true dive bar "hidden gem", for sure!
You can throw your pull-tabs on the floor at Lewisville! You can probably get away with throwing anything on the floor, but please make sure you tip the bartender and order some beer on tap! The only problem with this dive bar is that it's not big enough to have a spot for Lady Gaga to perform--not unless she stood on top of the bar, a la Coyote Ugly!
This spot is huge favorite of the Yakima locals, and this dive bar has everything Lady Gaga would need to host her tour. There's plenty of chairs, great specialty drinks from the bar, all kinds of beer on tap, amazing food, a side patio to smoke or vape, and the best trivia hosts around (they used to host trivia every Thursday; I'm not sure if they still do)!
