We Need to Incorporate Fresh Fruit Into Our Burgers More. Lemme Explain…
Think about the perfect burger.
Now, this is the perfect burger in your mind.
You might think an all-beef patty, cheese, maybe even more than one cheese, bacon, lettuce, different condiments and all that. Pickles or, if you're my friend Adam, 100% absolutely no pickles. Maybe even a fried egg? It could be anything since it's yours.
You have the meat, veggies, cheese, bun, but fruit isn't usually thought of as an active ingredient on a burger of any kind. Even meat-less burgers are still plant-based. Well, don't knock it until you try it.
I present to you Exhibit A: A burger equipped with grilled peaches. That's right.
This particular work of art was called the Sugar Burger at a placed called Rodeo Goat in Houston, Texas.
They had your standard selection of burgers and sandwiches at this place but whenever I'm out of town I gravitate towards something I haven't seen, heard of, or just something unique. When I saw they had a burger with grilled peaches on it, I knew I had to at least try it.
The combination was maybe a little close to what you'd expect. I was pleasantly surprised on how adding something a little naturally sweet to a burger can give you a new, yet welcoming, experience.
Any place can do a cheeseburger and everyone has their favorites but if you're looking for that unique touch, maybe later this year at a backyard BBQ and want to try something new on your friends, it could be peaches added to your burger that gives you that new advantage.
