Yakima Fails To Be Slowest-Growing Economy In Washington State

For the first time in... ever(?), Yakima has the state's fastest-growing economy, according to data released by the Washington State Employment Security Department.

Yakima ranked first by adding 4,400 more non-farm jobs than in 2016 which equated to a 5.3% increase from the previous year.

Following Yakima were the cities of Longview, Seattle and the Tri-Cities.
