Several of our senior citizens use Franklin Pool during the summer for water-walking and other low-stress exercises. Many seniors would miss out if Franklin Pool was closed.

The urgency of this petition is it claims the city council is considering budget cuts that would see Franlkin Pool shutting down for good.

This article from the Everett Post mentions 'a senior center and pool may close'. Though it doesn't say which pool, many speculate it would be Franklin Pool.

KIMA also showcases where the community would cut the budget.

How to Save Franklin Pool

The good news is that it's not closed. At least, not yet. And there's no official word that it is going to close. This petition is more of a preventative safety measure.

Of course nobody wants anything to close or shut down. If not the pool, then what? With this petition it seems like they'd rather they look for other alternatives than shutting down this pool.

Sign the petition and get more information what it's about if you feel so inclined.
