The first snow in Yakima in Fall/Winter 2026
Yakima Weather says there's a chance of snow in the morning of Friday, November 28th.

Just in the morning is all it says.
That day's high is expected to be about 40 which is cold but not quite cold enough for the snow to stick so even if it does fall and we get some dusting in our trees and lawn, it may not be enough to even make a snowball.
It's just calling for some snow in the morning and only a 30% chance at that.
Aside from the snow, it'll still be chilly most of the day with mostly cloudy skies.
It's doubtful that it'll be enough to delay school and it's highly doubtful it'll be snow that will last more than the day for any snow that does fall.
This isn't seasonally uncommon for the Yakima Valley to get a little dusting for the first official snow of the season.
