
A Little Snow Today in Yakima and More Snow Expected Later This Week
This is that crazy time of year when it could still feel like winter, it could feel like spring, and what it felt like yesterday could be completely different from what it feels like today.
We've had a few warm spells recently and, this morning, some rain mixed with some snow as well.
Sure, the snow didn't last and melted by the time it hit the ground, but it was snow all the same.
Is this the last time we'll see snow this season? The weather forecast says not yet.

Although that photo looks a little extreme, it shouldn't snow nearly that much coming this week.
But a bit of snow, perhaps. We'll find out when it's actually happening.
The full week it should be decent for this time of year with temperatures around 40 to 45 at the most.
Not unseasonable, but there have been plenty of years where we'd still have full snow and ice on the ground around this time of year.
The chance of snow comes on Sunday when there's a chance of more snow and rain, depending on the time of day with outside temperatures.
So if you're looking for more snow in Yakima, this Sunday, February 22nd, we should have a little more snow. Again, probably not enough to stick, but snow all the same.

Schools have their 'mid-winter break' they can use for snow days as needed. There was a time not too long ago where they had the full break, and then it snowed afterwards so the school year lasted a couple of extra days because of it. Our snow has been so light I don't forsee that happening for this year, but you never know.
