Yakima’s ‘Cement Suitcase’ Celebrates 10th Anniversary in Yakima Theaters

Cement Suitcase was a movie filmed in the Yakima Valley featuring Yakima actors and background extras as well as plenty of locations filmed around Yakima. It's full of local easter eggs as director, Rick Castaneda, is from Granger.

This film was a lot of fun when it was released 10 years ago and, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the movie, and the director, are returning to Yakima on Saturday, November 18th.

This is happening at the Yakima Cinemas 10, November 18th at 7 p.m. There'll be a 1-hour meet & greet before the film.

Director Rick Castaneda will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the film or even to aspiring film writers and directors.
