Before Joe Nichols hits the Budweiser Stage at the Central Washington State Fair for his 7 p.m. Tuesday show, you might want to brush up on your knowledge about his background. Here are a few starters:

.) Joe's big hit, "The Impossible," did not hit No. 1 back in 2002. The inspirational song surprisingly only made it to No. 3 on the hot country charts.

.) Joe's a huge St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and he's sung the national anthem there many times.

.) Joe worked as a country radio disc jockey and was even fired from the job. Read what he told Taste of Country Nights about it by clicking here.

.) Joe has three daughters, Dylan River Nichols, Ashelyn and newborn baby Georgia Nichols.

.) Joe has released eight albums since 1996, and it was six years between his first and second album. "Sunny and 75," the first single off his latest album, "Crickets," was certified Gold by the RIAA for single sales in excess of 500,000 digital downloads. The album's second single, "Yeah," was released to country radio on Jan. 27. It reached No. 1.
