Every once in a while we come to you looking for help and support for a few of the places that make Yakima great. We have been introducing our Grateful Families and asking for your support to help kids just like our friend Sam, better known as "Super Sam."
Learn about Sam's story and see how this incredible little guy managed to beat the odds and defy death to be here today. Sam and his family have leaned on Children's Miracle Network and the NICU for support and medical help through this whole ordeal.
A BIG Thank You to Standard Paint and Flooring for leading the charge in raising money for CMN. They are now the official sponsor of Team "Super Sam." Our goal is $5,000 and I know if we all work together we can accomplish that and more.
The Bull-Pen got to spend some time with "Super Sam" and even gave him his very own
Get ready, Yakima Valley -- the 2014 Selah Community Days are coming up May 15-18 in the beautiful city of Selah.
Event president Gary Green released this statement earlier this year on the celebration, themed "Believe: If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It." Green's statement includes all the details you need to plan your fun weekend.
We have been enjoying our visits to Yakima area schools to record the Pledge of Allegiance so we can play them back for you on the air.

Occasionally parents and students miss their recording and want to hear how they sound. The good news about the digital era is that we have the technology. Here is Mrs. Mill's 4th Grade Class from Wide Hollow.
This video went viral last week and I can see why after watching it. This all started with an ad in a Boston newspaper looking for applicants for the "World's toughest job." The catch is that this position has NO pay. I have to admit that it was pretty clever and will have you thinking about someone special when you're done viewing.
If you know anything about pro wrestling than you've probably heard about "The Mouth of the South," Jimmy Hart.
Hart began his career in the 1980s with his high school friend, Jerry "The King" Lawler. Hart made national headlines during the feud between Jerry Lawler and comedian Andy Kaufman and was dubbed "The Wimp" by Lawler.
Jimmy Hart went on to manage the Hart Foundation, Money Inc., The Natural Disasters, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Ric Flair and many other legends and superstars.
One of Hart's most notable compositions is Shawn Michaels's entrance theme, "Sexy Boy."
These days Hart is one of the eight cast members of "Legends' House."
