Horsing Around With The President

My cousin Christopher lives in Colorado, where President Obama recently visited.

Christopher has a weird sense of humor, but it makes for some funny stories. He has this horse mask that he likes to wear to freak people out.

Rooster Chasing Jackson [VIDEO]

My in-laws live next door along with their two chickens and a rooster. They let them out to wander around our property and munch on bugs.

The rooster is VERY protective of his hens -- so much so that he will chase anyone who gets near them. Of course, this is great fun for my kids, who like to tease the rooster.

But sometimes, the rooster wins the chase ...

Survey Puts Limits on What You Can Do at Certain Ages

A new survey is telling us what the cut-off ages are for things we wear, say and do.

After taking a look at the cut-off ages, what's the point in living past 35! You can't wear, say or do anything fun or young!

Here are a few of the things on the list:

My Teen Needs A J.O.B.

My 16-year-old is having a difficult time finding a summer job. Granted he's only checked with a couple of places.

But he's a hard worker. I can tell him to do something and he jumps right in to get it done with no whining or complaining.

He has a girlfriend, so he needs money!

Survey Says Most Guys Tell Their Dog Secrets

Maybe this is the reason Fido is man's best friend -- according to a recent poll in Men's Health magazine, 52 percent of guys say they've told their dog a secret they've kept from everyone else.

That gives new meaning to teaching Fido to speak!

I want to know what these secrets are? Maybe don't dig up the body I buried in the backyard? (Just kidding!)

The poll also revealed:

Watching ‘True Blood’ is Draining Me

It's a roller coaster of emotions for me as I watch each episode of the seventh and final season of "True Blood."

Sad -- because my favorite show with my beloved characters will not be seen again.

Happy -- to finally see my favorite show with my favorite characters after a whole year.

Nervous -- about what will happen to my favorite characters this season.

Worried -- that they will give such an awesome show a lame ending like "The Sopranos."

Last night's episode had me upset to say the least!

This Wedding Trend Could Have You Seeing a Full Moon

I was shocked to see a new wedding trend and puzzled? Why ... would you want a photo like that in your wedding album? What is the purpose?

I certainly wouldn't want my dad thumbing through my album and coming across a picture like that!! Horrifying!

We Reclaim Our Personal Power on No-Electronics Day

We've implemented no-electronics day again this summer in my household.

We did this last summer, too. For day each week, the kids where not allowed to play/do anything that took power. No iPad, computer, TV or video games.

The kids know that every Wednesday is the designated day. I warned them Tuesday night that when they got up it would no-electronics day and that I'd better not catch them using any electronics.

If ‘Work Wife’ Ain’t Happy, Ain’t Nobody Happy

When Rik, Cefus and I started doing mornings about eight months ago, Cefus deemed me his "work wife."

This is due to Cefus needing someone to take care of him, remind him of things he needs to do, make sure he has food and clean up after him. Basically, he's my fifth child.

But we also have an office girl, Heather, who stops by the morning show to say hi and hang out with us.

Stop the Flop!

FIFA World Cup fever has been rampant in my house since the very first match on June 12 with Brazil facing Croatia.

As I was sitting watching that very first game I was shocked at the players who would fall down and grimace as if they were hurt badly when it was obvious that they were not.

My son, Benjamin, has been knocked in the head with a soccer ball with such force that he flipped over backward. Did he roll around on the ground in pain? Of course not! He popped right back up, shook his head a little and kept playing.
