Is Taylor Swift the New Shania Twain? [VIDEO]

First let me say that I have always been a fan of Taylor Swift and I will always be a fan of Taylor Swift. I've liked her ever since we played your first single "Tim McGraw" here at 92.9 The Bull. Taylor has always been such a so sweet and gracious to your fans and to country radio. She even sent us a hand written note when she saw on CMT that she had the hottest song on 92.9 the Bull a few years ago.

I recently bought her new album Red and love all of the songs on there inculding her latest pop release called "I knew you were trouble." Now I don't mind sharing her incredible talent with the rest of the world and have noticed that she has a lot of appeal as a crossover artist.

She has had a few hit songs that have gone pop, the first being "we are never ever getting back together." Shania Twain enjoyed a few popular crossover hits its the 1990's. I wonder if Taylor is the Shania Twain of our generation. Shania has made a big comeback with a hot new Vegas show, and they only way to get to Vegas is to have a huge crossover appeal. I guess for now we will share Taylor with the Top 40 mainstream charts and see what happens, just remember that she is and will always be a country girl first! Happy New Year Taylor!
