McDonald's Hong Kong announced its intentions back in 2010 October to offer the fast food festivities to coincide with the date of 10-10-10, considered to be an especially lucky date in Chinese numerology. 

The McWeddings offer an inexpensive option in a nation where the monthly income averages around only $2,250 and the average cost that a couple spends for a wedding is about $29,200 . A ceremony under the Golden Arches is a relative steal, starting at $1,280,  which includes the food and drinks for 50, a "wedding cake" made of stacked apple pies, invitation cards and gifts for the guests that are figurines of classic McDonald's characters like the Hamburglar and Ronald McDonald.
