Fall TV 2011: CBS Cancels ‘$#*! My Dad Says’; NBC Unveils Fall Schedule

Well, $#*!.

CBS announced Sunday that is pulling the plug on the William Shatner vehicle '$#*! My Dad Says' after just one season.

The sitcom, which was based on the popular Twitter feed by Justin Halpern, debuted to strong ratings last fall, but stumbled as the season progressed. Critics' reviews, meanwhile, were less than kind.

Also getting the axe: the legal drama 'The Defenders' and the new comedy 'Mad Love,' co-starring Judy Greer.

Katie Couric to Announce Departure From ‘CBS Evening News’ This Week

In what the NY Times is calling "one of the worst-kept secrets in television," Katie Couric will reportedly announce her exit from 'CBS Evening News' this week, sources confirmed today.

A replacement for Couric will be announced during the first week in May, after she returns from London, where she will be covering the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Though unconfirmed, '60 Minutes' correspondent Scott Pelley is expected to replace Couric following her exit from the program.

‘Happy Days’ Cast Sues CBS for $10 Million

The happy days are apparently over.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the cast of the hit comedy series 'Happy Days' is suing CBS and Paramount Pictures, claiming they "have not been paid for their share of years of home video releases and licensed merchandise that used their images and voices."

The charge: a whopping $10 million, plus interest and possibly punitive damages, according to the report.

Charlie Sheen Hints at Return to ‘Two and a Half Men’

After all the drama, headaches and "WINNING," is there a chance that Charlie Sheen will return to 'Two and a Half Men'? The answer may surprise you.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the troubled actor, who is in the midst of his 'Violent Torpedo of Truth / Defeat Is Not an Option' tour, sat down with a local Boston radio station Tuesday night, during which he said there have been "discussions" about a possible return to the top-rated CBS sitcom.

"There have been discussions, but I was asked not to divulge anything," he told WBZ-FM.

Sheen also admitted that his erratic behavior played a role in getting him fired from the series.

Katie Couric to Reunite With Matt Lauer?

Following word that Katie Couric is planning to leave her post at 'CBS Evening News' in the near future, the NY Times is now reporting that the 54-year-old anchor may pursue a syndicated talk show with her former 'Today' co-host, Matt Lauer.

But don't get too excited: According to the report, the move would be "intensely complicated," as Lauer's contract with 'Today' doesn't expire until the end of 2012, and NBC will probably make him a significant offer to keep him on the show.

Report: Katie Couric to Leave ‘CBS Evening News’

She's used to breaking headlines, but today, Katie Couric is making some of her own.

According to a report from the AP, Couric is leaving her historic anchor post at CBS Evening News after joining the program less than five years ago, in 2006. Her next move: a syndicated talk show, which is expected to launch in 2012.

Couric's contract with CBS ends on June 4, though no word on when her official last broadcast will be.
