The Washington State Fair in Puyallup is starting to announce the acts for this fall's Columbia Bank Concert Series -- and this morning, the fair confirmed its first performer: Carrie Underwood will take the Grandstand Stage at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 5.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday (Jan. 25) at 10 a.m., but Bull listeners can get a jump on the crowds with a presale that starts this Wednesday (Jan. 22). To purchase early, hit this website and enter the password: radio. The ticket link will be visible and active by 10 a.m.

The seven-time Grammy winner's credits are head-spinning. Among other things, she's sold 64 million records, recorded 27 No. 1 singles and been a member of the Grand Ole Opry for 11 years. Last fall she released "Cry Pretty," the first album she co-produced. The album includes the RIAA Gold-certified "Love Wins."

As a superstar with music, television and film credits, Underwood has come a long way from when she first broke onto the music scene with her 2005 "American Idol" performance. She's hosted the CMA Awards for 12 years and sings the intro to NBC's Sunday Night Football program.

Ticket prices are $160, $145 or $95 and include admission to the fair. Buyers can shop the fair's website, order by phone -- call (888) 559-FAIR (3247) between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. -- or, after March 3, stop by the box office, Ninth Ave. SW and Meridian Street most Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Meantime, concert-goers can join the fair's free E-Club for the best seats and top ticket offers. E-Club members can buy tickets to any shows in the Columbia Bank Concert Series lineup before they're available to the general public.
