3 Ways to Celebrate Pride Month in the Yakima Valley
June is officially pride month, we've come a long way in this country and our state, celebrating yourself for being who you are. This is something people have taken for granted for a long time and something others wished and fought for even longer.
Now in 2022, we want to see your pride we want to celebrate you and your love, so this month of June we found three ways and places you can celebrate Pride month!
3.) LGBTQ+ Poetry Club June 16th
This online event lets you showcase your art in poetry, take some of your best work and share them on this online event to meet others and express what it was like for you growing up, and what it's like for you now. Inspire others with your words or find something that inspires you.
2.) Drink&Games
Drink & Games has always been an LGBTQ+ friendly establishment, they have gone above and beyond to make all patrons feel welcome and included. They have themed nights such as rockband, emo nite, and a lot more. One of their more popular events is their drag nights, see drag queen shows like never before right here in Yakima. 1.) Yakima Pride Parade & Festival June 18th
The Pride Parade festival is for everyone to come out, and celebrate pride in the Yakima valley and the difficulties overcome by those in the community. It's a chance to show support or celebrate who you are as an individual. This is the official statement released by Yakima Pride giving all the details on how you can get involved or come enjoy the fun.
