6 Yummy Must-Try Food Stops from Naches to Downtown Yakima
I’ve got food on my mind because the fall weather is unofficially here. When I think about my favorite things to eat in autumn in the Yakima Valley, I think about pumpkin-spice flavored things, chili, salty cheese zombies with seasoned tomato soup, spiked apple cider, Fall beer brews, wood-fired pizza on the patio, pretzels and beer whilst watching Seattle Kraken games at 5th Line Brewing or the Seahawks games in my living room, and keeping our Central Washington region in mind, getting nachos at Ike’s high school football game concession stands.
There are 6 places from Naches to downtown Yakima that have other delicious fall foods that are so good, I’m STILL thinking about them as I write this! If you want to taste yummy must-try foods, keep reading to see my local recommendations.
I’m more of a savory food type of lady. Savory and spicy dishes infuse my spirit with joy. I tend to avoid sugary treats and meals like cakes, pies, and fudge because of bad experiences getting root canals, but I will load up on some salty cheddar and sour cream chips or buttery pizza crust dipped in ranch sauce in a heartbeat. I’d even eat spaghetti with garlic bread for breakfast if I wouldn’t get weird stares from my co-workers! HA.
Whether it’s a huge salad with unexpected ingredients, a bratwurst that’s a statewide favorite, a croissant sandwich that gives a blend of tartness and glazed sugary goodness, a pepperoni pizza that has the perfect zesty seasonings, or a burger that has the kick of the bayou, the Upper Yakima Valley has got you covered with yummy dishes to eat this fall.
