One of my favorite things to do during the Central Washington State Fair is walk around the Sundome for all of the unique shopping. You'll find jewelry, hats, wallets, products to shine your shoes and clean your glasses, toys for kids, local organizations to sign up for email lists on local happenings and, my favorite, the snacks. Lots of opportunities to try new foods or locally made products all in one location. Some of these places you may not have even known they were local.

Such was the case with Ahtanum Berry Patch and their baked goods.

I've heard of them but have never been to their farm.

You can find Ahtanum Berry Patch and Bakery on 74th and Ahtanum. They host a u-pick were you go out and pick your own berries which is a lot of fun for the kids and nice that you're getting it fresh off the vine. Doesn't come more fresh than that!

Inside the Sundome during the Central Washington State Fair you'll find their baked goods including cinnamon rolls, hand pies, maple bars, scones and a lot more. It was fun to see.

I ended up buying a 6-pack of raspberry cinnamon rolls, a huckleberry scone and a razzleberry pie (which I think was a collection of some of the berries they have there) all locally sourced and made.

When you find yourself going through the Sundome, I'm not saying to buy as much as me, but at least try a cinnamon roll or scone. They're great.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
