I've heard a few rumblings from people around town and, I'm glad to say, the rumors are true!

Big Lots is going to remain open for business.

And in celebration of remaining open, they've got some great discounts for you in the Yakima location.

Kristen Cox, chief stores officer for Big Lots said this:

"We're thrilled that our Big Lots store in Yakima will remain open and continue serving this community. Thanks to the incredible support from our associates, business partners, and local shoppers, we look forward to bringing even more value and convenience to our customers for years to come.”

I'm a huge fan of Big Lots. It's not the type of store I visit when I'm looking for anything, specifically. I just show up on occasion and, as a friend of mine once said, 'just see what falls in the shopping cart.' It's the perfect store for that.

I've also noticed Big Lots carries items that some stores may not. I'm a big fan of Sprecher's Root Beer brewed in the Midwest but isn't found in our store shelves around town, but Big Lots has carried it in the past.

They've even had large bags of cereal marshmallows. Gotta love that.

With the announcement of Big Lots not closing as previously reported, Big Lots has a couple of discounts you can take advantage of immediately.
