Rik and Cefus got a chance to display their artistic skills Saturday night when they took part in a celebrity pumpkin carving contest for Northwest Harvest's "Carve Out Hunger" event at the Selah Civic Center.

Lining up against carving teams from KIMA-TV, KARY-FM radio, KNDO-TV and KAPP-TV, the Bull Pen boys produced two of the more ... well, striking jack-o-lanterns of the night.

Rik called his the "Trumpkin," for obvious reasons:

In the end, though, it was KNDO's "Cinderella" entry winning first place (in a fairy tale finish, of course):

Guests for the evening got to vote on the best pumpkins, giving them a shot at winning the entry they'd voted for.

They also got to sample local food, beers and wines at the annual fundraiser that helps Northwest Harvest feed hungry local families.
