Michele is gone this week, but luckily we have our "Be A Bull DJ" contest winner, Lindsay, filling in on the Morning Bull Pen.

Lindsay's currently single, and we started talking this morning about how hard dating can be in 2017.

I told her that my foster mom drilled into me how to treat a woman on a first date. It started from opening the door for her to paying the bill to waiting until she orders and so forth.

But as a current dater, Lindsay, says a lot of traditional dating etiquette has gone away -- she blames the impersonal world of social media, where courtesy and manners are often shouted down in brash, rude conversations that aren't even carried out face to face. Lindsay thinks men should "understand that in the early stages of dating, a woman is providing you with the opportunity to make a great impression. Take advantage of this time frame."

Listeners seem to agree. They've helped us start compiling some dating etiquette suggestions that should be adhered to.

Lindsay and I are curious about what other dating etiquette should be part of a dater's code of conduct, so feel free to add your own suggestions here -- or call them in to the Morning Bull Pen.

Just remember: Dates can be stressful, especially first dates, but by following some dating etiquette, you can relax and enjoy the experience.

    Have a plan

Our listeners suggested having an idea of what and where you'll be going on your date. Robert, a Bull listener, adds that you might consider discussing dinner with your date so you can order for her, showing her that you are listening to her.

    Treat her like royalty

A man should stand up and shake hands with a solid handshake when meeting someone new. Show her more respect than shrugging her off with a slouch and a nod.

    Don't tuck and roll

One listener who's obviously had this happen on a date suggests walking your date to the door -- not speeding off before she even gets into the house.
