The wait will soon be over. The Downtown Yakima Farmer's Market is happening this Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM in downtown Yakima, right in front of the historic Capitol Theatre.

Yes, we enjoyed the Farmer's Market downtown last year, however, due to COVID restrictions, things were more than slightly truncated. However, this year, things will feel a lot closer to normal and by the end of June, according to State Guidelines, will be as normal as we could hope for.

What are you looking forward to the most at the Downtown Yakima Farmer's Market? Is it the freshest of fresh produce from right here in the Yakima Valley? Is it the always popular Buhurmaster Bakery bread, bagels, cookies, and other delectable treats made fresh in Zillah? Is it the crafts, fresh-cut flowers, or any of the vendors who offer ready-to-eat foods and beverages? Or is it the coming together with family and friends in the heart of downtown Yakima and the catching up with old acquaintances that you're pining for?

Whatever the reason may be that you're as excited as other Yakimaniacs are about the return of the Downtown Yakima Farmer's Market this Sunday, you only have a couple of days to wait.

We'd love to hear from you following your visit to the market this weekend. Let us know what you really loved and make recommendations to those who weren't able to attend. If you snap pictures of yourself or your family enjoying the sights, sounds, and tastes of the market - we'd love to see them. Just tap the station app and let us know about your experience.

LOOK: Here Are 30 Foods That Are Poisonous to Dogs

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
