The Best Grilled Cheese Sandwich Found in an Unlikely Spot in Yakima
As far as I'm concerned, every season is Grilled Cheese Sandwich season.
Sure, they seem to hit better during colder days and especially when snow is falling or if it's super 'the air hurts my face' kind of windy days, but even in the summer I'm always down for a grilled cheese sandwich.
That brings us to this work of beauty. Bask in it!

Of all places, this came from Wandering Hop Brewery.
Yes, the Yakima guys who make amazing local beer.
Their tap room on 20th just off of Lincoln, not only have great beer on tap that you can also get canned to go, but they also offer a few food options.
And their food, lemme tell ya, is pretty amazing.
They had a soup once that my middle child has been talking about for the past year. They don't always have it as the menu keeps changing, but they loved it.
Like that soup and the ever-changing menu, this grilled cheese may not even be on the menu, but if you ask for it, they'll probably be able to whip one up for you.
They have grilled cheese as well as grilled ham and cheese options. This here is the grilled ham and cheese. My kid grabbed the basic grilled cheese. But don't consider it basic, it's amazing.
It also came with potato chips; my favorite side with any sandwich.
No tomato soup to dunk, though. At least at this time. Though if you got this to go you could make your own, I suppose.
If you'd like to experience this for yourself (and you should, swing by Wandering Hop during these cold days. Nate said it should be available throughout this colder seasons so it's always worth an ask.
And, if not, they also have other sandwiches on the menu like the Cubano-ish, the Reuben and other favorites.
