I love to travel. One town I've been to a few times is Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With over 7,000 dairy farms in the state of Wisconsin (second place for the state with the most in dairy production, CA being first), it's no wonder why they have some of the best cheese in the world.

A staple dish found on most menus in that state will showcase cheese curds as an appetizer. It's nothing new for us as there are a few places with cheese curds in Yakima.

However, one spot in Yakima seems to take it that extra step further to give you that true Wisconsin experience in their fried cheese curds.

You'll find these at Bob's Burgers and Brew.

Bob's Burgers and Brew is a favorite place in town for my kids and me. I love any place with a Cubano sandwich and my kids love any place that has mozzarella sticks and chocolate lava cake so it's a ca n't-miss spot in town.

We hit this place up before checking out that Spring Break carnival at the fairgrounds. I'm glad we did as I was surprised to see they had a new menu with a few options swapped out. Fortunately, my Cubano is still on the menu and I was pleasantly surprised to see these cheese curds.

Not just cheese curds but Wisconsin Cheese Curds. Literally said the word Wisconsin on it and everything.

Instead of just being fried in a traditional breading these had a bit of a crunch and texture to that, like a panko-type crust which is always fantastic. Since they were super-fresh they had a great cheese-pull effect my kids had fun with.

If you're looking for that authentic taste of Wisconsin, no need to book a flight as they have Wisconsin Cheese Curds right in Yakima at Bob's Burgers and Brew.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
