Jennifer Ramos is about to enter her junior year at Heritage University, studying criminal justice with a minor in psychology. She's gearing up to head back to school and so is Heritage University.

The plan is a safe re-opening on Monday, August 24th, 2020. The students will have a choice to attend their classes completely online or in-person and the staff will be making sure to adhere to the CDC guidelines of social distancing, wearing masks, and making sure to keep things clean.

If you were interested in furthering your education it's not too late. You can visit Heritage University and also find them on Facebook to stay in touch, message them questions, and get in contact with the correct people to guide you through the process.

This is such an interesting time and I am very proud of the students who are maneuvering this pandemic while continuing to gain their degrees. Going to school is already an emotional rollercoaster so to have test-taking and studying thrown in on top of the norm could and I am sure gets overwhelming. Make sure to reach out, the staff is ready to help assist with extra resources and there is absolutely no shame in it. A bonus of attending a smaller University is the fact you won't be competing with hundreds of students for your instructor's time.

I loved my time in college and though currently, it looks a little different than normal, going after a degree in something that you are passionate about, getting the chance to intern in your field, and then taking the leap into the workforce is one of life’s greatest adventures. Take pride in the fact that you are crushing it, even when you feel like you aren’t. It’s ok, we all feel like that sometimes.
