Internet Freaking Out for New 2-in-1 Washer and Dryer Combo Machine
I remember growing up we had a clothesline in our backyard. Although we did have a dryer next to our washing machine, my mom would often opt to hang clothes out to dry for that natural air-dried freshness. As a kid, I remember it was fun to kind of 'play' in the lightly damp, yet fresh scented sheets.
We also had a washtub but we never used it.
Appliances have come along way since the olden days of doing so much by hand. Even now, the convenience of having a machine wash and dry our clothes for us opens up more opportunities to free up that time for other hobbies and activities. No more back-breaking labor.
Wait, this is real?!
In an invention I didn't even think possible, the good people at GE have invented a machine that even removes the labor of taking your piles of wet clothes from one machine and chuck them into another machine, thus eliminating that extra step that, let's admit it, we've all forgotten at least once in our life and we're stuck with a pile of wet clothes that we basically have to wash again.
Introducing the GE Profile Ultrafast Combo Washing Machine.
GE says this takes about 2 hours from load to done without needing to reload or anything, it washes, then it dries. I love that idea.
According to GE, it's greater energy savings as it dries more efficiently. I won't decline that.
How much is it?
Naturally, this isn't cheap. One of these machines new will run just less than $3,000 but, man, think of the convenience of not having to touch wet clothes again. If I had room I'd consider getting one.
