If spring would ever get here we could start the yearly process of spring cleaning. I opened my fridge the other day and it was full of expired eggs, fresh vegetables that had gone bad and spilled jam from who knows when. To me the refrigerator is the most important thing on my spring cleaning list. I usually end up filling my garbage can with old ketchup and salsa and other unknown food items that have made their way to the back of the fridge. Once the fridge is done I move on to smaller but important tasks that need to get done before the weather gets better.

Carpets, rugs and wood floors are next. You should vacuum them and shampoo and wax them at least once a year. Dusting is another tedious but simple task to give your home that fresh look and feel. While you are cleaning each room in the house you should change out the batteries in your smoke detectors and make sure they are functioning properly (insert loud beeping here.)

Finally its time to wash the inside and outside of your windows. I end up using a squeegee because there is so much dirt built up that a paper towel just ends up getting destroyed. I think you'll be surprised how much dirt is on your windows...now if you have time you could wipe down the ceiling and walls. After that I'm usually tired and the rest of the cleaning can wait! What is on your spring cleaning list?
