I’ve lived in Washington my entire life, and I’m very fortunate in my 40+ years to have not witnessed any violent crime, but as far as break-ins and burglary, I’m not a stranger to that.
My car has been broken into many times, at my workplace and home (when I lived in Selah, Washington), and my house in Yakima was burglarized in 2014. That feeling of uneasiness of knowing someone went through your property never truly ends. But in all the incidents, it could have been worse.
