I’m from the old school of Star Wars fandom. I grew up watching and loving the originals, and the prequels came out when I was in high school.

I read most of the novels that continued the story after Return Of The Jedi. Han and Leia had 3 kids, Luke met a woman who was trying to kill him, but was able to turn her to the light side, they got married and had a son named Ben.

Chewbacca died saving the Solo twins and was crushed by a moon. I know more about Star Wars Universe history than our own United States history.

Then, Disney bought the rights and things just haven’t been the same. I don’t mind the new trilogy of films, but I don’t love them either.

And, I have to admit, I have not watched any of the TV shows (sans Clone Wars cartoons). My love for the Jedi and Sith and all things Force related has faded. Not gone, but faded.

But for Star Wars Day (May the 4th), I am glad, that the rest of West Coast’s love for a galaxy far, far away hasn’t faded as much as mine.

In a fun study, BetColorado.com scoured Google trends and interests for Star Wars by each state’s searches. Comparing and cramming the data, we now know who the biggest fanboy states are!
