Elly the Dancing Elephant Charms Yakima on Halloween Night
Thousands of kids and young at heart people dressed up as everything from Spider-Man Characters, tacos, Wednesday Adams, to demonic-looking TV camera came out and enjoyed the Ultimate Trick-or-Treat at Steve Hahn’s Auto Group on Halloween night (you can check out our full write-up here). But we can’t ignore the elephant in the room, and that was the debut of a new crowd favorite, Elly the Dancing Elephant!
Introducing The Unofficial Yakima Townsquare Media Mascot
Elly the Dancing Elephant was the big surprise hit of the Ultimate Trunk or Treat! Children would walk by our Townsquare Media / 94.5 KATS Tent and vehicle (trunk), spot Elly dancing the night away, and would smile, wave, and even join in with the dancing.
Hearts melted with the little ones dressed as princesses and ninjas, all wanted to get a hug and a photo taken with the over 7-foot-tall baby blue baddie of the dancing lot! (Keep scrolling to see some photos of Elly with trick-or-treaters.)
Elly The Elephant On Command
Elly did have a little trouble seeing over her massive trunk and tusks, and with her fast dance moves, some quick, unsuspecting children did get a friendly Halloween bop, but they were quick to shake it off and laugh.

Helping to avoid Elly’s handler would bark out commands of “Photo Elly”, “High Five Elly”, “Low Five Elly”, “Hug incoming Elly”. And the crowd favorite… “Elly, do a flip!” To which she would stand there in confusion, and then just start dancing again.
