Love to Garden? Fall Garden Webinar Coming Up
Each year the city of Yakima conducts a fall garden workshop. It's happening again this year but the Fall 2021 Heritage Garden workshop on Saturday, November 6th will be on zoom because of concerns about the current pandemic.
GARDENING IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF LIFE IN YAKIMA
Gardening is vitally important to many people in the Yakima Valley and many people are wrapping up the season. In the online workshop you'll be able to plan for next spring and find plants that fit with your yard and the plan you have for your property. Love humming birds? Concerned about wildfire? You'll be able to learn about the plants you'll need to attract humming birds and defend against fire.
YOU'LL NEED TO REGISTER ONLINE
City officials say the free webinar called “Plants with a Purpose" will be held from 9:00AM to 12:00PM but you'll need to register online.
A press release says the Fall 2021 Heritage Garden Workshop/Webinar will feature the following presentations:
The Art of Creating a Hummingbird Sanctuary
Beautiful Safe Firewise Landscapes
The Pollination of Native Plants
Webinar details and speaker information are available at Calendar — Heritage Gardens of the Columbia Basin (hgcd.info)
