There's a nationwide recall for an apple juice sold just in several states across the United States.

If you have this specific apple juice, check just in case as the FDA is doing a product recall.

Fortunately, this apple juice isn't from the Yakima Valley.

Apple Juice Recall Info

This comes from the popular Martinelli brand based out of California.

There is an active recall of 7234 cases of the plastic bottle of the 4-packs in the 10oz bottle.

The reason the FDA is doing a product recall on this specific apple juice is because it may be contaminated with patulin.

Patulin, you say?

From Science Direct:
Patulin is a lactone metabolite produced by certain molds, such as Penicillium expansum, commonly found in apple juice. It can be extracted from apple juice using ethyl acetate and identified through thin-layer chromatography (TLC) by its yellow-brown fluorescent spot under ultraviolet light.

Words like that will make you think you're back in science class hearing random sounds from the teacher while staring at the clock.

It's a mold that you probably wouldn't want to ingest.

If you happen to have this for any reason, check the UPC for 0 41244 04102 2 with a Best Buy date of December 5, 2026.

If you have it, toss it or return it for a refund. The store will know what to do.

This was available in most states. Fortunately for us there's no word on any be distributed to Washington but I wouldn't take any chances.

Check the FDA site for more information.
