McDonald’s Shamrock Shakes Are a Tasty Family Tradition

For the next month or so, I'll be a frequent drive-through visitor at McDonald's. Why? The Shamrock Shake will be available through March 19!

I have fond memories of the Shamrock Shake. I was eight months pregnant with my first child. I had horrible morning sickness, which lasted all day. The Shamrock Shake was the only thing I was able to keep down at certain times during that last month of pregnancy. I would order a Shamrock Shake and a hot apple pie!

My oldest will turn 21 this year -- on March 14. Every year we get a Shamrock Shake around his birthday. It used to annoy him, but now that he is older he appreciates the tradition.
