My Top Eight Pics From My Visit to Seahawks Training Camp
I recently had the opportunity to visit the Seahawks training camp at the VMAC (Virginia Mason Athletic Center) in Renton. If you've never been, definitely try to get your hands on some tickets next season. You can watch for training camp updates on the Seahawks website.
When we first got to the facility, they put us in the media room. This is where all the local and national media have access to power, internet and refreshments. They post pictures of past TV, radio and newspaper reporters on the walls.
They issued us our media passes, which allowed me field access.
It was surreal being just FEET from star Seahawks players.
At the conclusion of the day's training camp, the players took time to sign fan autographs. Russell Wilson went all the way to the hill (where the fans were watching training camp), then made his way around to the player entrance of the VMAC. I thought it was so cool that he took the time to sign so many autographs!
At about the time the above photo was taken, Russell was whisked away to the podium for the press conference. Still surreal to be this close to everything.
I also had the opportunity to interview a couple of Seahawks players, one of them being tight end Nick Vannett. (Interview audio will be posted soon!)
Leaving the VMAC, I had to take a picture of this sign in the lobby.
