Recycle Your Mattress at Perry Tech with the DTG Recycling Event
Mattresses are one of those things that's just big enough to be a hassle to take care of but something we need at home. Then, when it comes time to get a new one, what do you do with the old one? Maybe the old mattress becomes the new mattress for the dog or something you just put in the garage until you happen to need one for any reason.
The good news is that if you're just waiting for the right opportunity to toss your old mattresses or give you that excuse to finally get a new mattress without worrying about where you're going to stash your old ones, they're holding a mattress recycling event at Perry Tech.
You don't need to be a student or have ties with Perry Tech or anything like that. In fact, you don't even need to pay to show up. This is a free event.
Not just mattresses but they're also taking box springs. Perfect timing to toss your old bed and get yourself a new bed for a new year.
Spring cleaning? Right on time for this event. In fact if your box springs and it's spring, feel free to use that dad joke on your kids, making reference how you have to get new box springs because it's spring.
This DTG Recycle event is free, Saturday, April 22 from 10-3 at the Perry Tech Parking Lot.

The list starts with Hurricane Sally, which caused $7.3 billion in damages in 2020, and ends with a devastating 2005 hurricane that caused $170 billion in damage and killed at least 1,833 people. To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics. The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.

Using March 2019 data from the Social Security Administration, Stacker compiled a list of the most popular names in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C., according to their 2018 SSA rankings. The top five boy names and top five girl names are listed for each state, as well as the number of babies born in 2018 with that name. Historically common names like Michael only made the top five in three states, while the less common name Harper ranks in the top five for 22 states.
