I have to say I'm very proud of my daughter. Her whole life, she has been blessed (and burdened) with naturally blonde, curly hair. When she heard about Locks of Love a year ago, she decided that's what she wanted to do. Instead of getting her hair cut shorter, she'd wait it out a year to donate her hair to someone in need.

THANK YOU.  That is the best way to wrap up "Thanksgiving on the Mayflower".  It was because of your generosity, area Food Banks will be able to provide food for needy families in the Yakima Valley this Holiday Season. We received around $2,500 in cash and thousands of pounds of non-perishable food items...

It's the second annual ALMS turkey drive in Yakima. Last year they were able to provide 15 turkey dinners to families in need and this year we would like to do many more than that.

Once again, the idea that no good deed goes unpunished proves itself to be true.

“This event started as an idea we had in the studio last year to crash someone’s prom,” says Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott (quote via the Green Room PR). “We had no idea at the time it would fill such a need. We are amazed by the support we’ve gotten from our fans, sponsors and the press. This is one of the proudest moments of our career!”

Today, November 15th, is BIG GIVE DAY. It’s one day out of the year the entire community joins forces to support vital healthcare programs for children’s health care, hospice patients, cancer care, mammography services and more, specifically benefiting programs right here in our community and you can help!
