The internet is buzzing with the news about Southwest's new service to Hawaii. If you've been dreaming of going but the cost of flights have been too high for your budget, take a look at this!

I cannot wait to take a vacation. I try to plan for one every year. It seems, though, that when I do plan well, it never works out. There is always something going on. The question is if the rest of Yakima Valley are in the same boat? I am on a salary, so I don't continue to work when I should take vacation because of money. However, wages in this area aren't the greatest.

When I first started in the work force, I didn't take a sick day or a vacation for almost three years. I was bound and determined to get ahead in this life. Then I got sick and had to take off five days. When I got back, they said I had three days left for the entire year. What the heck? A few weeks ago, tracking for Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation was supposedly in the toilet. Early reports suggested that Tom Cruise’s fifth outing as super-spy Ethan Hunt was not getting people excited. This would be the end, the experts said, of a franchise that has kept Cruise’s career surging forward for the past two decades. Well, that was apparently a big load of crap because Rogue Nation opened well and opened in the same ballpark as the rest of the franchise. Even with inflation differences, this series keeps on hitting the same box office sweet spot.

Full disclosure: I missed the last 10 minutes of Vacation. Last night’s press screening started 20 minutes late, then began without any sound, which lead to a 10 minute delay to correct the technical difficulties. With an unbreakable engagement elsewhere, I had to sneak out right before the very last scene. So take this review with as many grains of salt as you’d like. If you think those final minutes might recontextualize everything that came before to transform a generally miserable comedy into a beacon of transcendent hilarity, so be it. Having sat through the previous 90 minutes, I’m of the opinion that nothing short of the long-lost missing footage from Orson Welles’ Magnificent Ambersons could have redeemed this dreadful film.

If you can't make their show this September at the Washington State Fair, then you might want to enter this free flyaway. Few other duos are as hot right now as FGL and with all that success comes responsibility. Media appearances, songwriting, touring and making music videos. I'm not sure how the boys are even holding up with all the craziness.
