There’s a Restaurant in Portland that makes Handcrafted Pasta
There's a pasta restaurant in Portland that you simply must try the next time you happen to be in the area.
This place is called Handcrafted Pasta in old town Portland -- that kind of downtown-y trendy area of Portland with the sign and all that. Lots of food options with restaurants, food trucks, bars and so much more in that area.
We were in Portland a little while back. One of my kids really wanted to visit a specific store and figured, while I was already parked, we'd just find something to eat in that area. Since they love pasta when they saw this place was called Handcrafted Pasta, we already knew it was going to be an instant winner. I'm glad we went as they ruled.
This is the Pork Belly Mac & Cheese.
I loved the ordering gimmick, too. Instead of being sat, having someone take your order and all that you order when you walk in. They have on the board all the pasta they make, you place your order, including drinks, and sit literally anywhere with a number so the server will be able to find you. They also have glass vases of water on all the tables so you don't have to wait to have your water filled. I love this as I drink a ton of water.
I got the Pork Belly Mac & Cheese (photoed above) while my kid got the Rigatoni. It was excellent.
We also got some garlic bread on the side which came at an additional fee but totally worth it.
If you find yourself in Portland and not sure where to go, I'd recommend this place.
