Do you know that feeling when something is willed into existence? Like, right when you need $5 you find $5 in a jacket pocket you hadn't worn in a while or when you think of an old friend you randomly run into them at the grocery store? Well, something like that happened at work when I was thinking of what I should grab for lunch when a co-worker asked me if I had been to this place in town (as he showed me their Facebook page on his phone). Thanks! I know what I'm grabbing for lunch now and I'm glad he did.

The place was Lai Thai Cafe - Yakima's newest coffee shop and cafe with a Thai twist.

This cute shop is located in the Creekside area off of 40th and Washington and features both indoor and outdoor seating.

I thought it was fun that they had these to-go stations for people who place their order in advance, you can simply walk up to this machine and scan your code so you can open the door that your food is in, ready to go. No need to wait in line or anything. What a great idea for those who are super busy or work in the area and only have enough time to run across the street to grab their order and go. Super fun. I'm tempted to use this next time I visit.

With several selection on the menu I decided on the lettuce wraps as well as spring rolls as I can never go wrong with the spring rolls. Though they have other amazing items on the menu like Pad Thai and other traditional items like sandwiches, bagels and more, it'll give me all the more reason to return sometime soon. The Thai Lettuce Wraps were romaine filled with fresh pork and a thai sauce that wasn't too spicy but right on for flavor. I enjoyed them. I didn't know what to expect when I ordered these, but these were huge!

They also had other fun things there including cookies, lemon bars and other treats. They also had hand-made coozies for your drinks. That's fun to see.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
